It's possible to display the latest value of a metric on your dashboard, easily viewable at a glance.
To add a latest widget, click the +Widget button in the top right corner of the dashboard to display the list of available widgets. From here, select Latest value to add the widget to your dashboard. 
For the metric you wish to display, select the corresponding device or service from the dropdown.
Then select the metric from the second dropdown that has appeared. 
Finally, if the metric has a tag associated with it, you can select the tag.
Once complete your widget will display the latest value, and if it is wide enough in the grid the average over the selected time period.
