The Server Density v2 agent is essentially a Python application that queries various files and commands. It should run on most flavours of Linux, but the below is the distributions we officially support.

If you don't see your OS listed, feel free to contact us.

Ubuntu* (agent docs)

  • Ubuntu 16.04
  • Ubuntu 18.04
  • Ubuntu 20.04

Debian* (agent docs)

  • Debian 9
  • Debian 10

RHEL 6 including CentOS, Scientific Linux, Oracle & other variants (agent docs)

  • RHEL 6

RHEL 7/8 including CentOS, Scientific Linux, Oracle & other variants (agent docs)

  • RHEL 7/8

OS X / macOS (agent docs)

  • OS X 10.10
  • OS X 10.11
  • macOS 10.12

EOL Support

The following OS have agent support but are not receiving updates. The latest agent version isn't available on:

  • Ubuntu 12.04
  • RHEL/CentOS 5
  • Debian 7
  • Debian 8

*Officially we support LTS releases, but the agent will likely work in other versions too. Contact support with any queries.

 For any unsupported distros it is recommended to install the agent from source.
