What happens after adding cloud credentials?

Server Density allows you to add your Amazon, Rackspace or Google Cloud credentials into your account.

Click your name in the top left > Preferences > Cloud. You can add multiple accounts for different environments or projects.

After adding your credentials, we will connect to the cloud provider and pull in a list of all your EC2 Instances, Rackspace Cloud Servers and Google Compute Engine VM Instances. You will be able to see the live state of these instances and if your credentials have the right permissions, perform actions like creating new instances, restarting, shutting down and terminating instances.

Merging duplicated devices

If you have already added your servers into Server Density (including starting the agent and configuring alerts) when you add your cloud credentials, we will sync them up and merge the duplicate cloud instance based on either the name or the provider ID.
