How to find your Amazon key & secret

Note: You're only given one opportunity to download your key and secret right after it is generated. After that point you can only ever access the key but unfortunately not the secret.  In the event of not having downloaded any existing keys you may have previously created you'll need to create a new key.

Getting the Amazon key

1.  Login to your Amazon account.  Once logged in click on your username in the top right hand corner and click on "Security Credentials". Click on users down the left hand side.

At this point you can either add a key to an existing user or create a new user and add a new key. We recommend creating a new user for Server Density to make it easy to identify in the future.

Creating a new user (recommended)

2a. From the users screen click on the blue "Create New Users" group at the top.  Type in a username and make sure you've ticked the box next to "Generate an access key for each user"

2b.  After you click create you can then click to "Show User Security Credentials" - the Access Key ID and Secret Access Key are what you need when adding new cloud credentials.

3c. You can then click to "Show User Security Credentials" - the Access Key ID and Secret Access Key are what you need when adding new cloud credentials.

4. You now need to set the right permissions for the key.
