This article will explain how to get sd-agent installed on non-LTS Ubuntu distros.
Server Density only provides packages for LTS Ubuntu releases, however, you can install sd-agent on non-LTS releases by using packages from the previous LTS release.
For manual installation, select the correct LTS release for your distribution from the table below:
Non-LTS | LTS |
---|---|
Zesty | xenial |
Artful | |
Yakkety | |
Cosmic | bionic |
Disco | |
Eoan | |
Utopic | trusty |
Vivid | |
Wily |
Next, you'll need to add the correct package source to the apt source list. Replace $LTS with the correct LTS release from the table :
echo "deb https://archive.serverdensity.com/ubuntu/ $LTS main" | sudo tee /etc/apt/sources.list.d/sd-agent.list
Finally, add Server Density's key and install the agent:
curl -Ls https://archive.serverdensity.com/sd-packaging-public.key | sudo apt-key add -
sudo apt-get update -y
sudo apt-get install sd-agent
